After two years, I was able to visit my family in Brazil again. It was a lovely time taking my kids to see my childhood home, play at the beach, and visit with their grandparents and great-grandmother.

Everything in my hometown this time of year (late Summer) was green and lush: the trees were bursting with ripe fruit, the flowers were all around and the soft sound fo rain would lull us to sleep at night. It was such a special time for me and seeing my kids smiles as they played in my grandmother’s backyard will be forever etched in my memory.
